This role will suit someone who has been working within the financial services industry and has experience of administering Pensions & Investments. The successful candidate will be responsible for reporting to the companies Group Managing Director and playing a hands-on position in managing the office and overseeing the operations of the Administration and Paraplanning teams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to join a growing organisation.
Your priority will be to ensure your team supports the Financial Advisers to provide excellent customer outcomes and achieve this by improving processes and procedures and improving staff performance.
The successful candidate must have previous experience as a Team Leader working within an IFA practice. You will have an eye for detail and take extra lengths to satisfy the needs of clients. You must be confident, passionate and thrive on working in a fast paced and busy team environment.
Daily you will be responsible for:
Lead a small team of Administrators and Paraplanners, which will involve conducting 121's and implementing new processes and procedures.
Develop MI for the senior management team in line with regulatory requirements
Delegate administration duties to the team
To ensure that practical and operational aspects of the business are properly attended to in a timely and pragmatic manner
To provide an efficient and timely HR service to the senior management team to ensure staffing is aligned with the key aims of the organisation
Handle client day to day queries to ensure they are dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner
To establish and maintain robust procedures for the retention, protection, retrieval, transfer and disposal of in line with legislative requirements
Essential skills:
At least 3-4+ years’ experience within the independent sector of the financial services industry, in a relevant team leader role
Sound technical knowledge covering pensions and investments, ISAs, bonds, trusts, and protection
Demonstrable experience in delivering client service at the highest level
Excellent IT skills with excellent working knowledge of Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
Sufficient understanding of the needs of Financial Services teams, FCA rules and compliances to effectively carry out the role
Strong work ethic with the ability to take initiative and the desire to proactively seek out work
Ability to work under pressure and to agreed deadlines
Desirable skills:
Experience in using Xplan or equivalent system
Relevant industry qualifications will be an advantage
Knowledge of Esoteric products
