Our Client, boasting over 100 years of rich heritage offering families Financial Advice across the United Kingdom, seek an Area Manager to join the business to cover South East London. The business has worked with families for generations, developing a close bond with these clients based on high levels of trust, integrity and professionalism.
Reporting to the Divisional Manager, the Area Manager manages the sales and administration within their area of responsibility and is an integral part of the agreed marketing strategy for the development of new business and retention of existing business within the company’s Financial Services sales activities.
If you are from a sales background, have a genuine desire in providing financial advice to help families and individuals reach their financial goals and enjoy leading a team, you will be rewarded with a basic salary of £36,000 plus uncapped earning potential for achievement of your goals together with a company car, life cover and a pension scheme into which the company will contribute up to 10% of total earnings.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Achievement of agreed team sales targets, business growth and operating objectives.
- Determine sales and performance targets for all Financial Advisers within their area.
- The achievement of the performance of their area of responsibility against agreed objectives.
- Manage, develop and motivate a team of Financial Advisers.
- Develop and agree with the Divisional Manager a budget and operate within it.
- Develop marketing tactics to maximise commercial opportunities.
- Provide creative input to the development of market penetration and business development.
- To ensure that Financial Advisers within their remit attain and maintain the standards of Training and Competence required by the Company and the Company’s Regulator(s).
- Carry out investigations, disciplinary action and manage grievances in respect of staff.
- Recruitment and selection of Financial Advisers for their area.
- Maintenance of standards and working practices within their area of responsibility.
- Accurate reporting of business activity for their team to their Divisional Manager.
- Monitor and manage good driver behaviour of their Financial Advisers using Telematics reports to support discussions as applicable
- Effective use of management information and control systems.
- Ensure that Financial Advisers act in accordance with company policy and procedures.
- Act in accordance with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Code of Conduct for Company Representatives*
