We are delighted to be working with this long established and well recognised Financial Services company that have been providing financial advice to corporate and private clients for more than 70 years! The business has continued to grow throughout this time, largely through referrals and repeat business, in a lot of cases they have been looking after generations of family wealth.
You will be part of a team to provide paraplanning support to the Financial Advisers. Full on the job training and support will be provided in relation to research systems and report writing so that you can achieve full paraplanning status as soon as you are able to, to include support to complete your Level 4 Diploma.
Key Responsibilities
• As an integral part of the advice process, you will help the advisers to increase business income in line with the company’s business plan.
• You will provide support with fund research and analysis, product comparison, charges analysis, compiling of suitability reports and detailing the recommended advice to suit each client’s needs, record, monitor and report on progress, report any obstacles or deviations from the agreed timescales to the Financial Adviser, compliance preparation and general administration duties and will be expected to help the team wherever possible
• You will provide product knowledge based technical information to clients
• You will be aware of the firm’s duties under the Proceeds of Crime Act & Data Protection Act
• You will embrace the firm’s policy and commitment to the principle of Treating Customers Fairly when performing your duties, and know the benchmarking for TCF
About You and Your Key Skills
• You will be a team player, who has strong inter-personal and communication skills.
• You will be able to prioritise and manage your workload through excellent time management skills and the use of your initiative
• You will be adaptive and can re-organise tasks at short notice
• You will have a working knowledge of research tools such as Select a Pension, FE Analytics, Exchange, Assureweb and Cashflow forecasting tools along with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
• An experience of the IFA back-office systems such as ‘Intelligent Office’ is preferred
• You will have experience of Discretionary fund Managers and Model Portfolios
• You will have experience working with templated suitability reports
• You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• You will have a high attention to detail and client confidentiality

Qualifications & Experience
• At least 3 years FS administration experience, ideally from within an Adviser based business
• Be working towards the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent qualification)
