More than 1000 fans turned up at Lodge Road to cheer on Yate Town in their Division One South Play Off Final on Monday.
After a superb season that saw Yate remain near the top for most of the season, manager Polly’s Bluebells had it all to play for in this exciting encounter with Cinderford Town.
James Rendell, our MD, went along to cheer them on. He said, “Clever has been pleased to sponsor Yate Town for the last 3 years and it is brilliant news for the club, and the local area, to see them move up in the football league structure”.
In the main, Yate Town is run by volunteers and this success is a reward for all the hard work and graft that has gone in behind the scenes. The promotion sees them step into the Southern Premier Division for the 2019/2020 season.
James commented “It was a great game to watch, and with over 1000 people through the turnstiles there was a real buzz around the ground. Many congratulations to the players, management team and committee and we wish them every success moving forwards”
