We are pleased that James has recently been appointed as new Joint Chairman of local networking business group, the Sodbury & Yate Business Association (SYBA). SYBA is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year in what is an exciting time for the group, with a number of plans and events organised.
The group has a wide mix of local business owners, entrepreneurs and self employed professionals who get together on a monthly basis to share skills, advice and referrals.
SYBA currently has 37 members and welcome any new local professionals who feel they may benefit of meeting with other like minded individuals to come along and learn more about the group.
James said "Martin Weaver (who is sharing the Chairman role) and I are pleased to take on the role to help drive the group forward and continue its success as a relaxed, informative local business group. Our aim is to grow the groups membership base to around 50 local business people by the end of the year, provide opportunities for the group and run a number of events for the social calendar."
The regular meetings also present an opportunity for members (and occasionally guest speakers) to present to the group, giving an insight into what their respective companies do, provide advice and tips and tell their story of being in business.
