We have an excellent opportunity to join this well respected, leading Financial Planning firm. The company provide financial advice to both private and corporate clients, helping them navigate across the full spectrum of products. This includes retirement planning, investment planning, workplace pensions and various insurances.
Key responsibilities:
Client work:
- Deal effectively with queries from clients and other parties through effective communication. Record your client or third-party communications (whether that communication is written, oral or electronic). Client communications and client related communications require to be recorded on the clients file in clear and intelligible English.
- Liaise with Product providers and other third parties to acquire required client information that may be required, including retrieving new and historic information about individual clients.
- Assist the Paraplanner in preparing the client file and relevant paperwork prior to client meetings.
- Issue letters of authority efficiently ensuring information checklist is completed accurately before being passed to paraplanner to review.
- Process new business applications and ensure follow up with provider, updating notes on client file.
- Ensure electronic client files are up-to-date and compliant.
- Assist Paraplanner in maintaining a high standard of file maintenance and administration of new business to meet exacting Compliance regulations
- Assisting the Paraplanner/Adviser in preparing client file and relevant paperwork prior to client meetings.
Office duties:
- First point of contact for incoming calls
- Open and distribute mail in line with company process.
- Ensure incoming and outgoing mail is dealt with in line with the company process.
- Photocopies and scans appropriate documents accurately into electronic client files in line with company process.
- Responsible for ensuring meeting rooms are prepped in the evening prior to meetings the following day.
The key skills and experience we are looking for are:
- Ambitious and motivated with a couple of years experience working financial planning
- A keen eye for detail
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage workloads
- Hard-working and enthusiastic
- Excellent IT skills and familiarisation with Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Relevant financial services qualifications would be preferred, or a willingness to take relevant exams
- Experience and knowledge in all aspects of financial services administration
