Transaction Assistant, Bath, £23k + benefits

We have an excellent opportunity for a Transaction Assistant to join a large Accident Management Services company based in Bath. This role will require the successful candidate to perform a range of duties; including bank reconciliations, updating the purchase ledger system and handling payments to suppliers. Applicants should have previous experience in a similar role.
 
The role:
  • Completion of bank reconciliations
  • Accurate and timely input of invoices onto the purchase ledger system
  • Dealing with internal and external business partner queries
  • Validation and accurate input of supplier invoices
  • Supplier statement reconciliation
  • Calculating and processing month end journals
  • Organising payment within the terms agreed with the groups panel of suppliers
  • Management of any cash allocation queries
  • Purchase Ledger
  • Complete any charge adjustments
  • Maintain high levels of communication with clients
 
Requirements:
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Previous experience of high volume bank reconciliations 
  • Analytical ability
  • Intermediate to advanced excel skills (inc. macros and lookups)
  • Ability to work to multiple time deadlines within a fast-paced role and environment
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Work on own initiative
  • Good written and oral communication
  • Strong team player 
  • Studying towards AAT
  • Knowledge of Great Plains software package advantageous
